Cell Phones in School? yes or No

Recently I was wondering about a web 2.0 software that would allow students to text message thoughts to a website that would insert them into a Chat box. This got me researching the use of cell phones in the classroom. I wanted to get some of your thoughts...Please share your thoughts and impressions on my blog. I say no to cell phones in the classroom unless teachers let parents know and they can check to see what charges they will incur. http://newsone.com/nation/teen-gets-20000-cell-phone-bill/
I for one donot want to be liable because I am encouraging the use of cell phone for education. I would check out the services my students have first and include this on my agreement.
