Connect your HS Classroom with Students in Kyrgyzstan: Global Connections and Exchange

Greetings, all,

My name is Ryder Cobean and I work at the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX) in Washington, DC.  We have a program that connects High School classrooms in the US with  classrooms in Kyrgyzstan in the former Soviet Union through educational online projects.  Our projects are free, take place on our secure online platforms, and in English.

We are now recruiting teachers for our second round of online projects this school year, and I thought I might reach out to you all in this community to see if you would be interested in participating in our projects.  We work with our participating teachers to tailor the projects to their interests and availability.  We've recently begun adding Skype videochats to our projects to allow the classrooms to connect with one another in a new way.

If you would be interested in finding out more and discussing possible avenues of collaboration, please do not hesitate to contact me at rcobean@irex.org. I have attached our teacher manuals and our application to this message as well. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!
