I'm finishing up my teaching degree and will begin student teaching next semester, so I'm trying to think of creative ways to engage my students. One way that I thought of, being set to become a physics teacher, was using the album "Dark Side of the Moon" from Pink Floyd. I would include it in my room year round, using it to demonstrate different concepts such as rotational velocity (record albums spin at a rotational velocity of 33rpm). The album cover itself is recognizable by a large portion of the public, but it can be used in the physics classroom because it is an accurate representation of the refraction of white light through a prism. I was curious to see what others thought of this or if anyone had any ideas they'd like to add.
