Digital resources and technology in libraries/media centers

I'm interested in your input on the above topic. Have you found any particularly valuable technologies to use in the media center? Or, have you adopted a digital or technological format that really didn't work for your patrons? I'm developing a library/media center at a start-up school and though I'm experienced I'd appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks. Rae
