Document Camera

How important is a document camera in a classroom? How have you used one to enhance learning?

For me, a document camera is a necessity. I use it to replace an overhead, to draw / color on diagrams pictures, to show flowcharts on the fly, to show instruments, etc.... Unfortunately, the newer style that the school is using has not proven to show clear images. I miss the older styles that we used to have.

With this in mind, I am now moved over to the use of a Windows tablet and Classroom Presenter. I have to be a little more prepared in some cases (showing instruments, diagrams, pictures), but the image clarity / and in class usage are well worth it.
