Hello, all!
We are new Haiku users at my school. We were trying to download a slideshow/movie that my colleague made using iphoto/imovie. The file started off at about 54 mg and then we re-saved using the "smaller" option and it was then 34 or something. It took forever to download and then when we viewed it, it was very, well, small!

Suggestions?

Hi Marcia,
My recommendation (if the site is unblocked at your school and there is no copyright or privacy issues) would be to utilize a safe-for-students service like TeacherTube.com to post the video (use Embed the Web to embed it in Haiku). TeacherTube will convert the video to streaming flash, which will 1) improve the download time tremendously and 2) will allow you to show a much larger version without a ton of tweaking and 'video know how' in iMovie.

Would this work for you in this case?

Hi, Bryan -- Our Internet connection at school today was a bit in and out and so when we tried to upload it to TeacherTube, it wouldn't show up (even though it said 100% downloaded), but I think the upload was being interrupted. I'll try something similar at home but sounds like the perfect solution! Makes perfect sense and so much easier. Thanks!
