Editing text in a Wiziq classroom

I am interesting using Wiziq to augment my writing classes. I would like to invite students to sessions on revision and editing, and I would like them to be able to see the process happening on the screen. I see that I can load Microsoft Word documents and bring them up on the whiteboard. I can mark on them and highlight them, but I cannot edit them. I also know that I can use the text tool to type on the board, and that I can copy and paste bits of text onto the board from other documents, but after the text is on the board, it seems that it can't be edited. Is there a way to bring up text and edit it as part of a lesson? This would work well for students who need individual lessons on grammar and punctuation rules. Any advice?

If WizIQ has application sharing, you could try it that route.

I have more experience with Elluminate. In Elluminate you can Copy paste the text from the document into a scrolling frame. Any participant can double click to get into the frame to edit. You could also do application sharing where either the teacher or the student could show their word processor and everything that they do, live as it happens in the word processing software including where the pointer is and what vbuttons are being pushed. The one hosting the application can turn control over to another participant as well. Elluminate has a free 3-seater version. If you are working in a tutoring situation with one or two students it may be the answer to what you are seeking. If you want to give it a try and have any problems signing up for a vRoom or figuring out the techniques I described, let me know. I will give you a hand. :0)
