I am writing an article on the best free educational apps for the iPod Touch. What are your favorites? Which one do you use the most? Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Jonathan. I am doing my Ph. D. around the use iPhones and mobile technologies. Some of the iPhone apps I Love and recommend are:

2. Docs To Go - Word and Excel (pay)
3. NotifyMe - Push To Do list (free and pay)
4. SimpleMindX - Mind mapping
5. AppBox - 15 tools in one (free and pay)
6. PS Mobile (PhotoShop) (free)
7. FlashCards (free and pay)
8. WattPad (free book)
9. Lecture Notes (pay)
10. iHomework
11. Mathematical Formulas
12. Oregon Trail (pay)
13. Evernote (free)

Wow. Seems like so long ago when I last posted this. Things have moved on a lot for me since then, and I have no amassed a collection of apps that I find useful for my 4th grade class. You can see this list here if you are interested...




It's not quite as updated as it should be as I also have all the Everyday Math Apps that were free recently, and a couple of others too, but it will give you an idea of what I like.


For anyone else who has not heard, there are also 24 free Kindergarten.com flashcard apps available until the end of April.
