I did some research for my technology class using this link http://www.educationworld.com/a_tech/tech/tech206.shtml. I learned a few new way that electronic whiteboards are being integrated into classrooms. What I found were a lot of activities (some like games) that were able to get the class involved and more interested in what they were doing than maybe a traditional lesson could. One thing that I saw was an interactive map of the world that students got to completely customize the way that they want. It would be extremely helpful in showing students in real time what the physical systems of the Earth actually look like. Another one  that was very interesting was a jeopardy game that the teacher could choose the subject and have kids come to the board to test their knowledge or the entire class could play as a review or something of that nature. Another integration I found was meant for a physics lesson. It shows how light reflects off of a 3D shape that is up on the screen. It seems like a great visual representation of a concept that might be hard for students to wrap their minds around at first.

I think I could definitely use electronic whiteboards in my classroom. When I teach 6-8 history I am going to use the electronic whiteboard to visually represent information to my students. I could do this with maps and pictures but I think that this would be much more interesting for my students. I also could create interactive activities with them so that they can also see with their own eyes what I have been teaching them. For all of this I would need an electronic whiteboard, a computer fast enough to handle the activities I want to do, and a projector.
