Short Session Description (one line):

Learn how educators can experience change and impact their classroom practices through the free and open online training sessions offered by TESOL's Electronic Village Online project.

Full Session Description (as long as you would like)

This session aims at exploring the potential of teachers' connected learning through the Electronic Village Online, an online project for teachers worldwide in which volunteer ESOL teachers gather for collaborative, online discussion sessions or hands-on virtual workshops of professional and scholarly benefit. EVO offers free training for five-week for educators to improve their digital skills, develop new literacies, and learn from subject-area experts to help them enhance their classroom practices. By understanding one of the EVO session's underlying principles, the Digital Tools with a Purpose in the Classroom, participants will not only be able to explore the digital resources more than 500 teachers had the chance to try out, but also have an overview of practical ideas for the classroom. Besides, they will learn more how the online session was prepared to engage educators in developing meaningful conversations and connections to other like-minded professionals.
