I have to give a presentation over the five best web2.0 tools and was wondering what everyone thought. I know there are a TON of tools out there but what are the five you couldn't live without. Thanks.
Let's narrow down your goals to make this more manageable. Since most websites can be considered Web 2.0, we are basically considering a jillion sites.
For example, you may want the know the best blogging site, best social bookmarking site, best video upload site, best digital storytelling sites, etc. My gut feeling is you are after sites that promote project-based learning. This is often what my teachers are looking for.
So, with that in mind, here are a few open ended webtools to promote Constructivist learning opportunities.
Aviary (and now Aviary Education)
Vuvox (Express and Collage)
Twiddla (try embedding other projects in it...ask for help with this...so cool!)
Capzles
MuseumBox
I absolutely love using Diigo and Delicious. I love the organization of bookmarking on the cloud as well as using it as a search tool. It is much more relevant and focused. I use both because Diigo offers the highlighting and sticky note features. I am also able to adjust my Diigo settings so that my Delicious account is sent each bookmark that is put on my Delicious account. I also really appreciate the networking opportunities on both social bookmarking sites. Hope this helps and good luck!
So many to choose from... If I have to go for 5, then:
Delicious
Wordle
Shelfari
Slideshare
Tutpup
All for different reasons, and for what they do for the kids in different areas.
Cheers.
