Follow up discussion on webinar: eFACE-electronic family and community engagement

Date: Saturday January 21, 2012
Time: 9:00am PST/10:00am MST/11:00am CST/12:00pm EST

The topic was ”eFACE-electronic family and community engagement” featuring elementary principal, Joe Mazza. Joe shared ways he is using social media to actively involve parents, teachers, students and the community.

How about a follow up discussion on the points raised during the webinar?

Can anyone provide a link to a recording or a transcript of the webinar?

Hi Matt,

All of the recordings, links and the chat log for every Classroom 2.0 LIVE webinar can be found in the archives on the website. http://live.classroom20.com/1/post/2012/01/eface-electronic-family-...

Many links that were shared in the chat were also added to the Livebinder and blog post for the show. You can also leave comments on the blog post if there are particular things you'd like to discuss as a follow-up although people don't tend to leave comments there. It is primarily used as an archive to be able to view recordings and access the resources from each of the webinars.  We were very excited to be able to learn from Joe about all of the innovative ways he is differentiating through the use of social media to reach out to his parents to encourage their engagement in the school. I think many people were happy to see some examples of ways this can be done so they can take them back to their schools for discussion and consideration. Thanks for joining us.

Thanks Peggy!

To make things easier, I've copied and pasted the links to here:

Participants raised some interesting points that didn't get addressed during the webinar, I guess because of time constraints. It'd be nice to see those points discussed here and any other points that people want to make about the topic in general.

I'm sure some people have questions and/or contributions that they'd like to make.

Anyone want to discuss it?
