Full Session Description (as long as you would like):  The presenter will do a brief introduction/presentation of quest-based learning and its benefits and then show attendees the 3DGamelab.org environment. 3DGameLab is one of the Digital Media & Learning Competition winners for 2012. The presenter will showcase student work and data from recent high school projects using 3DGameLab. Given enough time, attendees may be able to log into the system as students and participate in some small quests online to experience the fun and focus that a quest-based, instant-feedback environment can have.

Hi Sean,

I have learnt quest-based briefly. Is it the setting of a project work to students whilst giving them lots of tips as to where and how to make the searches?

Thanks for your question. It sounds like you're referring to what I know as "webquests" but I could be wrong. This is a bit different from that. What I'm going to go over very briefly are the types of quests that are used in video games and how you can use these to structure lessons in order to use them in the 3DGameLab learning management system. The meat of the presentation will be a walkthrough of the 3DGameLab platform. Hope to see you there! 

yes you are right. I mistook it for webquests. I still not properly understand your quest-based, how vdeo games can be used to structure lessons!  Anyway, I think I will have the answer when I watch your presentation. Good luck.
