We have an annual speech competition as part of our 8th grade graduation requirement.  Each student prepares an original speech from a research paper they write earlier in the year then delivers the speech in class for a grade.  The 6 best are chosen to compete in front of the entire school as well as parents with a panel of judges determining the winner.

This year, I would like to find a way to broadcast the competition live on the internet, so that parents could watch from work or grandparents could watch from out-of-state, etc.

I am looking for software suggestions that will allow me to:
1)  Stream Live Video
2)  Require viewers have an account approved by me (I don't want it open to everyone to view)
3)  Is free (at least for the viewers and preferably for me too)

added features that would be a bonus but not required:
1) an interactive feature where viewers could click buttons to give feedback to a moderator
2) is online so no software download is required

Anybody have any suggestions?

I have used livestream before. You could also try quik, but it is not really what you want. Live stream will do what you need.
