Hi all,
I have a grade 6 extension group of about 12 kids with better than the norm computer skills. I am wondering if anyone has any really good ideas of projects, activities or online interactive activities i can do with them??? I have pretty much run out of ideas. I have pooled their ideas but really wondering if anyone out there has similar groups or great ideas for extending these kids.

Thanks heaps for your import
Katy Reid

how about creating comics?

An easy place to start is: http://www.makebeliefscomix.com/

And the DomoAnimate site is pretty engaging: http://domo.goanimate.com/

What do you want the kids to get out of the activities? Is there a specific set of skills they need to apply? Are you investigating a larger essential question? Start with the end in mind and the selection and creation of activities will follow.
Hi Katy,

I'm certain that there are plenty of ideas that exist around Classroom 2.0.

However, for just one more set of ideas. I develop core curriculum resources using Web 2.0 technology. Take a look at my website: http://www.pass-ed.com.

Off the top of my often empty head...

Create Glogs with Glogster
Blog with Weebly for Education
Make cool videos with Animoto Education
Experiment with Viddix
Create some instructional videos (commoncraft style)
Flipbook might be fun...

Maybe check out the links or recent posts at my blog for more ideas www.educationtechnologyblog.com
