I am looking for history teachers around the world who are willing to start a collaboration on a history/politics class to students.
This project would start in the Spring 2009, and would last one term.
Students would interact and debate issues such as globalization and terrorism.
Our school is in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts in the U.S.
Students are 12th grade students between 16 and 18 years old.
I am trying to get 5 or 6 schools from all over the world to join this project.
If you are interested or know someone who would be, let me know.

Thank you.

hi kader, i'm the edtech coordinator at valley christian schools out in San Jose, CA, and I help arrange collaborative projects for our teachers...i've got an interested ap gov/politics teacher...what's your game plan look like?
Hello,

Great to hear that someone is interested.
My class is about World Films. We watch foreign films and work on a theme taken from these films.
For instance, we watch the film called "the lives of others," and we discuss and debate the pros and cons of a surveillance society in a democracy.
Of course, the teacher at your school would not have to watch the films, but would just get his class to work on the same topic.
Than, students would engage in debates and discussions via a blog and skype, and they would make presentations about the topics.
Here are some of the themes:
Globalization, terrorism, war and moral choices, surveillance society.
The class starts in March, but the project would go from April to May.
Let me know what you think.
Thank you.
