I am interested. I teach composition at Southeastern Louisiana University. I taught a class this summer and had students write an argumentative paper because it is on everyone's mind. I'm planning to have students write about the ongoing problems and effects in the fall also, probably at the end of the semester. What did you have in mind?
Actually, I teach elementary students and would like for them to study the environmental effects and possibly discuss problems associated with the oil spill. I would like for them to get involved in a way that they can make a difference in helping be part of the solution. What you are doing sounds like a wonderful idea with your students.
