Sort Fix is an amazing search engine. If you've used Google or Bing, you'll love Sort Fix. This site is user-friendly and helps to teach students how to select keywords in effort to refine, or narrow, their searchers.

Have you used it in your classes? What do your students think?
Looking forward to sharing ideas,

Wow! Cool tool!
I'll have to see how students like it. Thanks!
After playing with SortFix, I had to include it in a blog, along with Qwiki and Google Search Tips (I gave you a shout-out -- I hope that's okay). Thanks so much for sharing this great resource!

Colleen,
Thanks for the resources! Yes, I've tried Qwiki - great site, too.
I appreciate you passing along the info! :)

Ashley,
Great points! Not just for students...
You're right - it does help 'teach' how to use keywords, too. :)
Thanks,
Crystal,
Your post has me sitting here with the biggest smile! That is exactly the way I felt when I discovered Sort Fix. Thanks for your reply!! :)

WOW ERIN! This is an awesome tool. I have been struggling with teaching students about information literacy and the Boolean searches and what not, but this tool really is going to help a ton! I featured this with a shout out to you in my blog too. I hope that's ok!

I also agree this is an awesome tool for teachers too! I will be passing this along during my next professional development workshop next month!
I have currently been using http://www.yebol.com/ in my classroom for research. It is somewhat similar to sortfix, in that your results are very detailed and easy to add and remove different search queries.
I really like the asthetics of yebol. It is pretty awesome. Your search results come back in clusters and you can add and remove information, easily look at just images, just videos, just the top results, similar searches, and much more.
If you guys are digging Sortfix, you should check out Yebol. It is very similar and between the two, they are both very visually attractive and organized search engines.
I just recently blogged about Yebol as well over on my blog at http://classoftech.blogspot.com/
David,
Thanks for the info!
