Help!! I need a student-friendly database for court cases!!

Hi! I want my freshmen students to study court cases as part of a larger inquiry-based project titled: "When a crime is committed, is intoxication a defense or a poor excuse?"  I was wondering if anyone knew of some good resources for high school students regarding court cases?  I would appreciate any help anyone could offer.
