Seemed like a good idea at the time...I am guest speaker in town where I live, not town where I work.  I don't have a child in middle school and I teach high school.  Any thoughts on what the kids would like to hear....um, yeah, TONIGHT!  I'm in the middle of my own end of year grading, exam giving, etc...and am very stressed--any advice, big or small would be super.

I've done my share of public speaking all over the country and when I'm out of the area I'll learning something about the culture of the new city/town. Though you’re not leaving the area you can still pull from the schools/towns culture...such as the Celtics; especially if you’re speaking in MA. This is just a tip to help make your speech relate to whom you’re speaking to. Not sure if you’re speaking in education only or anything goes? If it's a graduation speech and you're able to use the upcoming Game 7 as an example of what could be, possibly you'd be on to something. Break a leg!
oooh----great idea!!! Thanks!!!
