Has anyone ever tried Hoot.me

I just checked the tool and I found out that it can be a useful tool for students since many students use facebook. Hoot.me is a free tool that we can use as an additional app for facebook to facilitate an online group study. It can hold a video conference for up to 8 people in the room. We can even generate math symbols in the chat session. For further information about that you can visit the website at http://hoot.me/

If any of you have ever tried that in your class, I think it will be a good idea if you can share your experience here so that it may benefit many people.

Thank you.

Hey Stefanus, my name is Gaurav Sanghani. I'm one of the co-founders and the chief engineer over at Hoot.me. Just wanted to say I'm really glad that you find our app useful, and if you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them. You can ask me here so that everyone can benefit, or you can email me at gaurav@hoot.me

Wow this looks like a cool tool.  It is hard for students to always meet up out of class.

Thanks for the compliment Katie! This is one of the main reasons we built the app. Let me know if you have any comments on it.

Gaurav, this is such a wonderful application! One thing I was thinking of that might be a negative is that not everyone has Facebook. Would you want to expand Hoot.me as their own network/server? That way, anyone can create an account? But I am not totally sure.

This application also reminds me of Google Doc where we all can share our thought educationally. Would you ever want to expand Hoot.me and made it so it is similar to Google Doc?
