hosting a webinar

I've been asked to set up a webinar for participants who cannot attend a meeting that's taking place at our school. I have never hosted a webinar before. If you have experience with this, please share tools that you've used and tips that will help my first attempt go smoothly.

Elluminate offers use of a webinar "room" if you join Learn Central. Learn Central offers helpful web tutorials and sheets of instructions. Classroom 2.0 founder Steve Hargadon runs Learn Central. Give it a try! Whatever platform you choose, I'd advise joining a webinar in it just to observe the practical things the moderator has to take care of.

By all means join learncentral. With the videos or the live training, it is pretty easy. But they are right when they say to practice first. I was on one yesterday and I don't think they did. It was a mess. If it had been my first, it would have been my last
