How can I implement Epals into my classroom? Is it worth it?

I have been interested in connecting with students from all over the globe, and I was recently informed about a program called Epal. If you have any ideas or any information about the use of this program, please let me know. A few concerns have been raised by colleagues about the safety of it. If you have used the program, I would love to hear about how it worked and if you are still using it.
