How do you choose where you want to teach?

I am currently in college for teaching and have been thinking about how I am going to choose the type of school when I get a job. I used to think there was only public or private schools to choose from. Now, however I realize that there are many different choices to make under those categories. Under the public school category there are five different choices: Traditional, Full-service traditional schools, Magnet, Charter, and Alternative. Then choosing from the private schools there are four more choices: Religious, Nonreligious, Single gender, and For-profit. So knowing all of this information, my question for you all is what tips do you have for choosing where to work?
