I am a "Computer Technology" teacher and am stuck in the Microsoft Office / HTML rut. Any suggestions as to what would help propel the 6th - 9th grade program into the 21st Century?

E-Portfolio's are fun projects that allow students to showcase their skills. Some components could be academic and other portions could show their special interests or skills. (Music, Art, Dance, technology, philanthropy, interviews, etc.) using the technology Mandy suggested. The finish projects burned on a CD/DVD allow the student an opportunity for reflection in the years to come.
I'd take a look at the NETS standards for students and glance at the 21st Century Skills----then hang around here, you'll get tons of ideas to help you get from then to now.
