Hi, All.
I am a retired (for the second time) teacher-educator. I taught at National-Louis University for 15 years in the Technology in Education program. My first retirement followed 26 years in K-8 schools; most of it as a Learning Center Director in Glencoe, IL. It was interesting, toward the end of that stay, to have former students as mother volunteers.
I am a webaholic and lifetime learner. A PLN helps me feel alive, involved and productive. I teach seniors now and have a small business where I do 1-1 in their homes. I am currently addicted to Digital Scrapping which means involvement in photography, design, and digital story tellings. Did a session at a K_8 Institute Day on Keynote for Digital Story Telling.
I will be at NECC this year. The loss of ones community after retirement makes attending professional meetings important and I try to go to SITE or NECC every few years.
