iPad as SmartBoard

I hav not yet found an app for the iPad or Android that gives the same benefit as programs for different kind of Smart Boards.

Have anyone else found this kind of app?

There are lots of note taking apps but noen of them, as far as I can see, have the possibilities tha different kind of programs for Smart Boards on a PC.

Splashtop Whiteboard let's you annotate on your desktop much like a
IWB. You still need a lapto and projector but the app lets you fully
control the laptop, all applications, and make annotations.

The Splashtop suite of apps are pretty solid and worth a look.

If you are talking about iPad only, meaning no laptop in the loop,
then no, no IWB style app that would control the ipad from the board.
However, you could use apps like Keynote or Pages to create
presentations on the iPad that you project on a screen.

It would depend on which IWB functions you want to have on your iPad. If you want to be able to annotate PDFs that there are apps ( free and paid) for that. If you have an image you can add it to an app to annotate it. For example, I have a map of the Pacific during WWII that I am able to add to a whiteboard app and I can add information to it. One thing I can't do is annotate another app like Google Earth.

Using the iPad with an Apple Tv I can mirror everything on the iPad to my projector. I've had a Smartboard for 10 years and I'm getting rid of it. Let me know if you have any questions.
