Elizabeth your input is great - really enjoyed reading your link. I share your sentiments and would just like to say that we as educators have so much power that we can use to encourage and mold young minds. Learning fantastic.
Facebook is blocked in our county. I guess I'm wondering, since Facebook is really just a social site, what benefit would it have in the classroom that couldn't be done in another way. I have students who come in everyday upset because so and so said "this" about them on Facebook last night. There is really no way to monitor/control the activities on this site.
