It's Not Just "Icing on the Cake" in Student Competitions

Please read this chapter if you have ever thought of having your students enter competitions.  Winning the competition is not as important as the process of learning while preparing for the competition.  Using social media, many doors open for information and help from experts.  If your team wins the competition, it is just "Icing on the Cake" compared to what they have learned in the process.
