I've read a number of specs comparisons and reviews of the two devices.

The iTouch has all the apps and is a solid, well-known PMP from Apple. The Zune HD has the better sound and video quality, and is a giant question mark when it comes to future development from Microsoft.

For example, neither plays Flash, and only the iTouch has YouTube capabilities with an app.

I know there have been a lot of discussions about the iTouch's classroom capabilities, but has anybody here played with the Zune HD yet? None of the computers in our school are MACs and I'm wondering if the Zune will have the same benefits as the iTouch for classroom purposes.

I haven't touched a Zune but one obvious downside is the lack of a thriving app ecology. I'm waiting to see what the Creative Zii is like when it comes out. It will run Android so there will be plenty of apps.
