It's that time again - ARG!

I'm nearing the re-launch of my "educational" Alternate Reality Game. I first ran the game last year and was quite intrigued by what it had to offer my students. I have made some changes to the game this year, primarily to flesh out the narrative. My hope is that this year with round 2 I will not have the hiccups that I had last year that should have been easily avoidable.

-I've made sure to "cover my tracks" much more deeply this year so it won't become quite so obvious that I am running everything.
-I've cleaned up a few story points that simply did not work given the structure of the overall narrative.
-I've simplified the puzzle structure.

My goal this year is the same as last - to prove that this method can be used in an educational setting. I truly believe that the immersion an ARG provides will do wonders when adapted properly to education. The fact that the game is by its very nature hyper-collaborative and built on inquiry is obviously a bonus as well.

What I'm looking for are two things. First, I'd like some "beta" testers who are willing to play the game as it stands today. I realized last year that where I saw puzzle connections they often did not actually exist. They were in my head but not in the game. I'd like to avoid that this go around. Second, I'd like some help from social studies teachers specifically in trying to determine some big themes of history that are worth exploring in this setting. My theme that I'm working under so far is the importance of minor decision in history. I feel that I could take things much further.
