Kathy Schrock was a digital pioneer and is the prime example beginning with her website http://www.schrockguide.net/ . Her background being a librarian led her to researching and keeping files organized of various online resources. Once she finally had fill access to dial-up and the Internet she was able to start her first website in 1995. This is the prime example of the beginning of a PLN. Using her resources Kathy has supplied millions of teachers around the world with teaching resources, first organized more by subject matter and now by various technologies, theories, Web 2.0 and more. She has turned it beyond this webpage by also having blogs and various other social media active in passing on the newest information and helpful tips. She hosts webinars and presents at conferences, always willing to learn something new and share it with everyone. She uses the feedback that she gets to further her network of followers and sharers.

She has tried to be more than a giant list of resources as you may find in other places but has made a large effort in making her website the most useful it can be to a teacher looking to incorporate technology in a meaningful way.
