The trick with social networking is to go where the crowd is. In education this is where the crowd is. Please take advantage of this group to connect with your colleagues. You might want to start by leaving a short bio and telling everyone which school you are affiliated with.

I am Linda M from Nebraska. I currently work for Mid-Plains Community College in the Adult Basic Education program. I also work in the Ogallala Extended Campus office four afternoons a week. I retired from public school teaching in May of 2008 after 36 years as a counselor and librarian.
Retired Adult Basic Education Program Director, Western Nebraska. Brand new part-time English As a Second Language teacher. Love the work, can use any ideas to hold attention and get them to come to class.
I am an ESL instructor in the Adult Education program of Mid-Plains Community College. I have a degree in French, but the idea of teaching my mother tongue as a foreign language intrigued me. So...I volunteered 10 years ago, and have been going ever since. I love it, and am constantly learning new ways of getting people to learn and speak English.
Hi, I am Sheri, director and teacher of a very small adult ed program that is part of the local public schools. In a small program that means each one of the "3 of us" does a variety of jobs...but that does also make it easy for us to be connected to each other within that small group. Looking forward to be part of a BIGGER group!
I grew up on a 36 section sheep and cattle ranch in Wyoming. I decided to be an educator while attending the Wyoming rural school. It wa at seventh grade that I made this decision. I taught in an isolated Wyoming area with an A.A. degree from Sheridan, Wyoming Community College. I have been teaching in Nebraska for many years. I liked my teaching position in intermediate elemenatry school. For nine years, I taught three levels of 4th, 5th, and 6th grade science. Teaching is in my blood and I keep on teaching and enjoy creating curriculum to grab students into the lifelong learning mode.
