I recently came across a few long-standing blogs that never crossed my path during my Google searches, and I was thinking that a Classroom 2.0 discussion about blog-sharing might be helpful, since we are members of "the social network for educators using collaborative technologies".

If you have a blog you'd like to share, either your own, or one that you'd recommend, post a reply with a link to the blog, the author's name, the focus of the blog, and perhaps a few words about why you find it interesting or useful.

Here are my blogs:

TechPsych
Interactive Multimedia Technology

I have another blog that I use to post my reflections about what I'm learning in my mid-life journey as a computer/tech student:
The World Is My Interactive Interface

(I changed the name of the blog to reflect my current topics.)

Update 6/15/10
It has been a very busy school year!  The exciting news is that one of my schools has a multi-touch SMARTTable, and every classroom has an interactive whiteboard.  The teachers worked very hard to ramp up their IWB skills and I'm amazed at how quickly this interactive technology was adopted.    Of course, interactive applications and websites are pretty awesome on a huge screen or display!    The best part is that this technology has opened up the minds of a good number of students with severe autism characteristics.

In April, I participated in a workshop at ACM's 2010 CHI conference. The topic of the workshop focused on the next generation of human-computer interaction and education.

I also joined the SparkOn group, "a social platform for people that are sparked (inspired) by creative and emergent technologies"

Thanks Viviana! I taught the Area of Study in Term 4 but I'll use the Youtube clip in revision before the HSC - thanks for the ideas! Jenny

Hi Lynn:
I maintain several blogs, but my favorite is http://bpstilt.blogspot.com, which is an educational playground for the teachers in my staff development program (Teachers Integrating & Learning Technology). I post interesting tidbits and host contests, tutorials...and...my teachers will periodically post here with an "Ah Ha!" or question. Almost all of my teachers have their own blogs, which you can find at http://www.billings.k12.mt.us/tilt/tilt.html.

Thanks for posting this! I love to explore other educator blogs to get ideas and motivation!

Desiree
I access this one a lot www.HighSchoolMath.Blogspot.com.
It has a great variety of education/school/teacher stuff that changes often.
My blog focuses on practical uses of educational technology in the classroom. My current projects are the Wii interactive whiteboard and video podcasting.
One year on! ... and blogs are still big business ...

The current 31 day challenge has provided me with renewed interest in blogging and in updating my own blog. Mostly I blog about work related projects and my travels. This year I plan to be more organised on how I do that and want to present my blog as my main marketing tool for my elearning consultancy.

The Baranduda Blog has gone through some major overhauls in the first week of the challenge and there will be more.

My blog (http://mrsmaruskinsscience.blogspot.com) is centered around our class' experience with raising trout in our classroom. Students can keep up with trout development and post ther questions and thoughts.
Here are my blogs:

Edification
Big Green Earth
Music For The Masses

One For Education-Two For Fun
I am a 2nd grade teacher and started a blog called 2nd Grade Explorers to share announcements, homework, and some of the activities we are doing in class.
Hello Lynn,

I am soooo happy to find this post because, I was also surprised that Google searches didn't help me in finding teacher blogs. I had to create a blog for the final exam project in a masters class, and I wanted to see what was 'out there.' When I finally found good ones I added them to this page. . . . .

You have a great idea, collecting them here. I will return often to see the replies. Other teachers' writings have helped me more than anything else.
Thank you for starting this post.

Here it is again, I don't think the link showed up on the last reply.
