Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Social networks aren't just a place where students chat with each other and post pictures. It is where many get their news and learn more about people, business, and events. This session will explore how educators can put this engaging venue to work in their classroom, rather than fighting against what has become a large part of students' lives. While it is true that social networks themselves can be a valuable tool in a classroom, the focus of this session will be resources to will enable educators in districts where social networking sites are blocked to utilize the concepts of social networking to create engaging and relevant lessons for their students.
