I teach 3rd grade and am looking for a math curriculum that is available on CD rom. We have activboards and use them all the time. I already use a variety of resources to support math instruction online, but what I am looking for are PDFs or some sort of printable resources for students to practice skills. I have been piecing together a little bit of this and that, but there is no continuity. I am skilled enough to make them, but they are so time consuming to make given the need to include clip art that catches students' eyes or represents abstract concepts.

not PDFs or CD ROM, but a comprehensive and very engaging online math curriculum with practice tasks is www.mathletics.com.au Not cheap though - AUD$30 per student
Yes, I looked at that. Our school already uses Study Island and Education City. I was looking for a plain, old-fashion way to let students quickly practice a new skill and receive imput from me before doing more engaging activities to practice. I wanted something on PDF so that we could use the activeboard to demonstrate the way math is represented on paper or model word problem solving together. I usually drown students by not breaking concepts down into small steps. I teach 2nd and 3rd graders.
G'day Lezlie,
This is my first posting into a "social network" so I hope I conform to the particular ettique ... As for Maths sites that provide some printable resources give http://www.primaryresources.co.uk/ a look. They not only have PDF resources, but they also have interactive whiteboard files (notebooks) plus more - no cost involved. If you want to have a look at 2008 National Assessment Papers for Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) - http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/prep10/naplan/testing/testpapers.html - See how you go with these
Thank you, also. These look like promising sources to use with my class.

Hi Lezlie,
Here is my favorite place to get worksheets for third grade math:

http://www.mathfactcafe.com/

I hope this helps. Also, check out my 3rd grade math webpage:
