Looking for ideas for my math team who wants to take their kids into the computer lab and/or on our netbooks.

They are starting a unit later on this month on Geometry and 3D shapes. We are 6th & 7th grade middle school with students who need support on learning to sort 3d shapes by sides use NETS to deconstruct and build 3D shapes as well as understand how calculate the surface area and volume of prisims and pyramids.

I have found a few sites out there the assist with these but I can always use more. Also looking for a great real world/business application of surface area and volume of pyramids and prisms that middle school kids could do to help make the connection between the formulas/math and the outside world.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.
