Hi Classroom 2.0ers!

I work at an international school in Shanghai, China. Our first graders are about to embark on a unit exploring how weather affects people. We were hoping to find a couple of other classes to share temperature information with along with some photos of the weather and what we're wearing. Our students will be taking temperature readings daily so I thought maybe we could send the info once a week? Anyone out there interested or know someone who might be interested?

Look forward to hearing from you!

I'd be willing to assist you with your project. I live in an area in New York state that is famous for its

"Lake Effect" snowstorms."  It's extremely close to Niagara Falls, NY, so I could share photos of

that area, too.

You are welcome to cross-post your inquiry to the First Grade Teachers Ning network group:

Great!! I finally understood Lake Effect snowstorms recently. So interesting!

The first grade teachers are supposed to start this Monday, but they didn't seem to have all the pieces planned when I spoke with them last week. So, let me check in with them tomorrow and give you some firmer dates. This project lasts 5 weeks total. I thought it would be fun to share the temps weekly, take pictures of what the weather is like and what the kids are wearing. What do you think about a Wiki page where each class can post the data and share pictures? My email is ms.kate.rbis@gmail.com. If you email me there I can start a group email list.

Look forward to working with you!!

My second graders in Alabama would be glad to help with this project.

My class does weather observations every day - we'd be glad to share our data with you. We are a kindergarten class in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For how many weeks do you plan to do this?

We are presently on summer vacation here in the Southern Hemisphere but will be back in March.  How long will the project continue.  Dates would be helpful.

Hi Grace,

We haven't firmed up the dates yet, but the unit starts this Monday and runs for five weeks. I would love to connect with you class in March though. Keep in touch!

I am a tech integration teacher in Minnesota. Our 2nd grade classrooms do quite a bit with weather all year long. I'm sure I could get at least one of them to participate. I love the idea of a wikispace to share information. What can I do to help?
