Need elementary Netbook input!

I would appreciate any tips/resources/experiences/recommendations for a purchase of a mobile cart of netbooks. This would be the first of its kind in our district, and we are on a small budget. I am hoping this will demonstrate the power of putting technology into the hands of the students as opposed to the hands of only the teachers.

What models work best in an elementary setting?

What would be the pros/cons of doing 30 lower priced machines vs 15-20 higher end models?

We just started a program like yours at the high school level and it is going great. We have the Toshiba NB305. It has been a great computer with few glitches. The mouse button has stuck at times, but it is fast enough and our new wireless system has had no trouble logging 28 kids on at the same time.
