New Curriculum Standards Coming in Ohio in June

“Ohio's education chief assured state legislators yesterday that the Board of Education will meet next month's deadline for updating standards for English, math, social studies and science. Superintendent Deborah Delisle said the grade-by-grade blueprint will better prepare high-school graduates for college and get them ready to compete with their international peers. The new standards are more rigorous than those used now and aim to give students a deeper understanding of the subjects they study, she said..."
