New school ICT advice?

We are in the process of designing a new primary school, and canvassing to find out what's worked for others in the ICT area. Do you recommend notebooks or desktops? How many per class? Labs or other combinations?
If you were starting again from scratch, what kind of ICT distribution model would you implement now?
