Greetings. I wanted to let the Classroom 2.0 community know that our web-based timeline application,
TimeGlider (formerly Mnemograph: ) now has an extra set of tools that allow for more management and control of timelines -- It's called TimeGlider "Plus".
So in addition to creating regular timelines, one can quickly add a set of users (i.e. a group of students) who can then be assigned to timelines, or who can build their own. Also, data can be imported into a timeline from a CSV or tab-delimited file. We've been working with a couple teachers trying to make these features as intuitive and as useful as possible.
For the time being, it's all free. Eventually, we're planning to charge a small monthly fee for these extra tools: Meahwhile, we'd like to get as many teachers using it as possible so we can learn more about what works and what doesn't. We truly depend on feedback to develop our product: If you can give us some in-depth feedback about the application and about things like pricing, marketing, and so forth, we'll be thrilled to give you a lifetime, free account : )
This week I'm working on a legend system for the timelines — something that many teachers and other professionals have requested. I'll let you know when that's ready to roll.
FYI: Nancy Bosch and her classroom made a fascinating timeline last Fall about the Titanic, which can be viewed here:

Please don't hesitate to drop me a line if you have thoughts, questions, ideas, or problems with TimeGlider.
Best,
