News Literacy Project Helps Students Sort Fact from Fiction in the Digital Age

The News Literacy Project (NLP) is a national educational program that teaches students critical-thinking skills that will help them become smarter consumers and creators of information across all types of media. How do you help your students “sort fact from fiction” in the digital age?

Thanks for posting.... I feel that fact/fiction is really hard for elementary school students to distinguish. I've been introduced to a few websites to use with elementary students to help understand that not everything posted on the internet is factual. However, I think more projects and workshops need to be implemented for students to gain a better understanding. I'm glad to read the the NLP is establishing a program on this topic.
