Official Facebook Page For Our School

I am on a committee that is exploring the ins/outs/ups/downs of developing an official Facebook page for our middle school. If anyone out there already has this and perhaps has some guidelines, thoughts, official policies, and so on I would be most interested. Thanks!

Our school started using one this year. We have had a lot of positive feedback from parents. I think it works because our principal is the one in charge of it, therefore he makes all decisions about what goes out on it.
