Hi everyone-
Have you all seen this new, free nonprofit international student project?

http://www.onedayonearth.org

Students and teachers and artists around the world will video a little of their daily lives on Sunday October 10, 2010 (that's 10/10/10) and then upload and discuss. Right now they have participants in 160 countries signed up, including many classrooms. They have a big educational outreach and will be providing free educational materials soon I'm told.

My students will be among them - please join us if you can!

For those of you who are iEARN members, we will be having a private discussion area afterward in our iEARN forum. Our new iEARN teachers group on OneDayonEarth is now up to 21 teachers - iEARNers please join us a well!

Best-
Chris

This is a wonderful way to integrate technology into any subject and grade level. How will you provide students with the resources they need to film/record themselves on a Sunday (after school hours)?
Another cool project happening on 10/10/10 for those of you in Baltimore area is the Baltimore Soundscape Project. You can record any sound during a single time frame in a single place during the week of 10/10/10 and submit. More info at www.hasa.org
I think both of these activities - OneDayOnEarth and Soundscape - can be adapted as a tech-friendly creative project in any classroom!
