Does anyone have any resources they use for online portfolios?  I would like my third graders to be able to add videos, photos, and text documents throughout their year.  I want them to reflect on their work and have parents and I be able to add comments as well.  Ideally, this would also be able to be saved forever...at least as a PDF file.  The goal is to have students see their progress and reflect on it through the year.

That's a good question and one I am interested in.

This year I have used Wikispaces - one of our wikis was for a Mathematics learning journal - each student had a page where they could reflect on their learning. As they could see each others' entries they learned from each other. This was with my UK Year 7 (11-12 year old) students...
Thank you for responding. So far, wikispaces seem to be the best bet. I just wish their was a template already set up. Can you password protect different pages in a wiki? I would like each page to be private for the student.
Tara that is something I am having trouble with! I see benefits in the students seeing each others' pages but understand that some of them may prefer this not to be the case. I don't think you can password protect individual pages.

I have got quite quick at setting up various page templates now - that's a great feature of Wikispaces
