Online schooling...

I'd love to hear some opinions/thoughts about online/virtual/cyber high schools. Do most teachers believe that these avenues can be effective educational environments, and if so, how?

I am not sure that I by into online education at the high school level. My first concern is way to easy for students to cheat or rather not be doing their own work. A lot of kids today look for the easy way out, it is harder for them to be at school and in class and to turn stuff in on time and to follow the rules. They would love the no boundaries approach to online school. I also firmly believe that the structure, rules, accountability and the social aspect of school are a huge part of education. Just my two cents.
