Hey Everyone,

I am teaching second grade for the first time next year and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for websites with phonics flipcharts and/or powerpoints? Thanks

If you have access to open court books, the green band is actually pretty good for phonics instruction. It is a good place to start if you have never taught phonics before. You can also go to opencourtresources.com to get some powerpoints for your lessons. I'm not sure about flipcharts!
When I'm looking for a PowerPoint presentation I go to http://www.pppst.com/themes.html. There are thousands of topics a-z and each link brings you to a page with powerpoints and game sites on that topic.
I second this recommendation. I had the link to the specific page that focuses on Phonics in
my bookmarks, too, i.e., http://reading.pppst.com/phonics.html

There are many other links and files in the archives of Phonics Matters
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/phonicsmatters
You have to join the Yahoo group to be able to access them, but
there is no fee to do so and you can unsubscribe at any point.
