Please join our collaborative classroom videoconference ning on war's multiple perspectives

In a recent post, I wondered if anyone from Great Britain would be interesting in collaborating with my school (from the United States) to discuss the different ways we might teach or encounter the Revolutionary War.

After all of the interested comments, I decided to create a ning at
where schools from across the globe can collaborate on how they encounter all wars. I put up the framework of the website, but can use anyone's help who is interested in further development.

I would love to see how German, Japanese, Italian, Russian textbooks deal with WWII. Maybe we can begin to open up some more dialogue with this collaborative project.

That is a great idea. I think I might steal it :) I had a very similar if not exact idea of partnering up with a UK classroom to co-learn and co-teach on the American Revolution. Have you had any luck?
I put my initial request up on Wednesday, I think. I got a lot of feedback for people saying they thought it was a great idea/ and/or that they wanted to do it with the Civil War, WWII, etc. So, I set up a ning over the weekend to help foster this idea. Check it out and let me know what you think. I could use all of the help I could get.

Finally putting the online collaborative project together that I had posted last year.

The project is called "How Could War Look Different?" It is a two part online project that can be applied to any war (People have signed up for the American Revolution, the Civil War and WWII). The first half re-enacts the wars online and the second half of the project re-imagines the acts of war through the lens of peace.

I've attached the program. Please let me know if you are interested and feel free to send it along to any of your colleagues that you feel might want to take part.

Be well.
