Once again I turn to you for advice. This time we're talking robots.

I'm a tech teacher wanting to acquire as many robots as I can afford to use in my 9-12 classes. Ideally, these robots should be durable and programmable. Building robots is lower on my list - I'd rather that I build them or they come pre-built and then they last for several years.

Lego NXT is certainly an option although one concern I have that my students might easily outgrow them. A colleague has suggested Vex Robotics and they look good. And expensive.

My mind is open and the clock is ticking. Given the financial situation this is the last year, if I'm really lucky, to afford this kind of gear for my students.

Your advice is appreciated. Thanks. Rod

Hey Rod,
I'm just starting to get interested in robotics for my 9-12 tech. class, as well. I'm wondering what you ended up going with? and how it went?

Thanks,
Justin
